Hi Gloria,
Thank you for visiting planDisney! I have been in a similar situation when my son visited Magic Kingdom Park with his grandparents without me. He loved guiding his grandparents around the theme park to all his favorite attractions, and I’m sure he got a Mickey-shaped treat or two!
When you scan your granddaughter’s MagicBand or Annual Pass, there will be Guest Relations Cast Members at the touchpoints who will help verify your granddaughter’s Annual Pass and reset her fingerprint. When I spoke to a Cast Member for more information, they suggested that you have her mother's information available, like name and address associated with the Annual Pass. When the fingerprint is reset, my suggestion is to let her use her own fingerprint. I know my son enjoys the responsibility of scanning his own MagicBand and fingerprint.
Gloria, if you have the
Disney PhotoPass Downloads Add-On with your Annual Pass, don’t forget to stop at the
Disney PhotoPass photographers you see throughout the parks. I love looking through my PhotoPass photos from previous visits with my family, and it’s a great way to get some special photos of just the two of you. There are even some
Annual Passholder exclusive photo opportunities in the parks! Now until June 30, 2023, you can take a Figment-themed PhotoPass Magic Shot in EPCOT by the fountains outside of Journey Into Imagination. This photo experience is available from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. Also, until June 30, 2023, you can take a Disney PhotoPass Magic Shot featuring WALL-E and Eve in Disney’s Animal Kingdom near Discovery River and the Tree of Life from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If you’re more interested in a photo in front of Cinderella Castle, there is a new
Watercolor Magic Shot that will remove other guests from your photo and also turn your photo into a painting! You can find this Magic Shot near the Partners Statue from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
I hope this was helpful, Gloria. It sounds like you have a magical day planned with your granddaughter! If you have any future questions,
I’ll be here at planDisney!
Let the wonder take hold,
Kaitlin
