Hello there, Christine!
I'm just bouncing with excitement that you asked this question! I know just how you feel because, as an
Imagine Magic Key holder myself, I was in the same situation just last week. The Imagine Key is super special for Southern California residents, but it does have some pesky blockout dates - especially during holidays, so planning a vacation can be a bit tricky. When I was planning a spring break adventure with my husband and our tumbly little Tigger toddler, I found out that we wouldn't be able to use our pass during our week off. And what do you know, that happens to be the same time you're thinking of visiting too! This can be a really sticky situation when you have a bunch of honey-loving family members excited to go on an adventure with you
But don't you worry, Christine! There are definitely ways to save some honey and still have a bouncing good time. If you have a driver's license or passport that shows your address within the 90000-93599 zip codes, then the
Southern California Resident Ticket offer might be perfect for you! This offer includes three theme park admission tickets to one park at a time, and they all must be used before May 25, 2023.
As for me, what I did was purchase this offer and
make theme park reservations for the week when my pass was blocked out. This way, I still get to spend time with my family and create lasting memories without breaking the bank.
Now, as for upgrading your pass, you can certainly do that too. You’ll have to visit the friendly folks at the ticketing booths in person to upgrade to an available Magic Key. As I'm writing this, it looks like the only pass available for purchase is the
Inspire Magic Key. The Disneyland Resort did mention that they'll be offering
more sales for Magic Key Passes throughout 2023 as they become available, but let's not get our hopes up for it happening before your visit in a few weeks. If you choose to upgrade to the Inspire pass, you’ll have to immediately pay the difference between your current pass and the Inspire, because payment plans are not available for upgrades.
But always remember: even if your pass is blocked out, there's still plenty of fun to be had at the Disneyland Resort. Exploring the
Downtown Disney District and trying out some
yummy treats with friends both in and out of town has always been a favorite pastime of mine. There's always something to do! So as Tigger would say, put a spring in your step, Christine, and let's go make some bouncy memories with your family!
Well, It was my pleasure to bounce around and help you out today, Christine. Don't hesitate to
come back and visit me again if you have any more questions. I'm always here to help my friends!
Ta ta for now!
Danielle
