One of my favorite aspects of a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is how convenient everything is. Once you arrive onsite, transportation is covered in multiple ways. You can access the resorts and parks by boat, monorail, bus, and the
Disney Skyliner. Where else do you have so many fun options to get around!
MagicBands are another example of this. You can use them to open your Disney Resort room door, enter the theme parks, enter
Lightning Lane attractions, and even pay for food and merchandise. The second we leave for a Walt Disney World vacation, it goes on my wrist and does not leave until we are back home!
Disney does allow you to ship them directly to your Resort if you order before your visit. They recommend ordering at least 5-6 days prior to your arrival or at least 11 days if you have them shipped to your home. You'll need to sign in to your
My Disney Experience account and select MagicBands. You will find a variety of discounted options to choose from. Be sure to select one for each member of your traveling party that wants one. When you get to the checkout page, you will need to enter the Resort's address for shipping purposes. This will ensure that the MagicBands are shipped directly to the Resort you are staying at.
When you arrive at your Resort, head over to the
Front Desk to pick up your MagicBand order. I would confirm that they work and are linked to your account while you are there. You definitely don't want to get to your first park and have issues while trying to scan in. Also, MagicBands are sold throughout the parks and resorts. If you find one that you can't live without, go ahead and purchase. You can link the new band to your account quickly by using your My Disney Experience App on your phone. All you need is the code on the back of the band.
