Hey there, hi there Farrah!
Planning for a visit to Walt Disney World for the first time is so exciting! There is so much to see and do. You'll be right in the middle of
The World's Most Magical Celebration, with magical touches like
Beacons of Magic,
50 golden statues of your favorite characters, and special treats for the occasion.
There are a couple of ways to link your plans together. For me, the easiest is online from a desktop computer. Sign into your
Disney Account and click
My Family and Friends from the drop down menu under
My Disney Experience. Since your party has never travelled with you before, you'll select
Add a Guest. If you aren't already connected to them you can either import their information from a Walt Disney World hotel reservation or enter their name, age, and invite the guests to connect with you. They'll receive an email, and once they confirm, voila!
You can do the same thing using your
My Disney Experience app on your mobile device. On the home screen click on the 3 stacked lines (the hamburger menu) located in the bottom right of the screen. Scroll down to
My Profile. Click on
Family & Friends List, choose
Add Guest and follow the prompts
.
Even if you choose to connect using your computer, you'll still want the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device. This is how you'll be able to access
Disney Genie to see wait times for attractions, show schedules, get your personalized touring plans, and even mobile order food. If you choose to purchase Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lanes, you'll do that through the app as well.
Hope this helps as you plan for that first magical vacation. When you arrive be sure to pick up a complimentary
First Visit pin, either at a Disney Resort Hotel or at Guest Services in any of the parks. It's a fun souvenir, and you never know when a cast member might spot you wearing it and be able to add a little extra magic to your trip.
Mickey can't wait to see ya real soon!
