    We have a party of 6 going to WDW. I was told when making reservations that the tip would be included with our meal. How does this work when we are on the dining plan? Do we pay out of pocket for our tip and our meal comes out of our plan? Thanks so much!!

    Hi, Kory!   For parties of 6 or more guests, a gratuity of 18% will automatically be added to your dining bill.   At the end of your meal, your receipt will list any items that you must pay for that are not included in your plan (alcoholic beverages, appetizers, etc.)   It will also have the gratuity amount and how many Dining Credits you have remaining.      The gratuity amount is based on the menu prices of the meal.

    You can pay for your bill with cash, credit card, or simply charge it to your Key to the World card (if you added charging privileges at check-in.)    Your server will be happy to explain how the Dining Plan works, what is included, and explain the check to you when it arrives.   

    Let your server know if your party is not all on the same reservation.   Each party will then get their own check so the dining credits are done properly and each party pays for their own extras and gratuity.   For example, on my last vacation, my family of 4 got one check and my parents got their own.  Letting them know at the start of your meal will make things much easier.
