We are a party of 15 visiting WDW soon. One of us has an injured leg. He is not registered disabled but will hire a wheelchair each day at the park entrances. Now I learn that the trams are not running from all car parks. What is my friend to do?

Welcome back to planDisney, John!  It is nice to see you here with another great question.

What a kind friend you are!  You are correct that courtesy trams have returned to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park parking lot and the Transportation and Ticket Center lot (Magic Kingdom Park).  Parking trams are set to return to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios sometime in 2022, although we do not yet have a definitive date.

Theme park parking lots have courtesy wheelchairs available to assist guests to the park entrance, where you can then access the wheelchair rental location.  If you don't see a courtesy wheelchair (they are often at the end of a row or in a corral) ask a parking attendant.  Another option would be to rent a wheelchair for your stay from a third-party company that can deliver a wheelchair to your hotel.  ScooterBug is the Disney Feature Provider for mobility devices.  This way your friend would have a wheelchair available both inside and outside the theme parks.

One parking tool you might find handy is the new car locator feature in the My Disney Experience mobile app.  No more wandering around looking for your car at the end of a long day!

John, I have included this guide for Guests with mobility disabilities, which I hope you find helpful. If there is anything else we can assist you with, please feel free to stop by planDisney again anytime.  Have a wonderful holiday!
