Hiya, Vanessa.
Welcome to planDisney! Boy, oh boy, your vacation is just weeks away! I bet you’re more than a little excited to be spending time at The Happiest Place on Earth during the most magical time of year. Be sure to read up on all of the
holiday offerings at the Disneyland Resort ahead of your arrival to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the festive fun.
Of course, when planning out those final vacation details, it’s also important to fully understand the ins-and-outs of the services you’ll be using, so I’m happy to answer your question about
Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is a service available to Guests who struggle with the extended wait times in attraction queues due to a disability. You can
pre-register for DAS via a video chat with a Cast Member between 30 to 2 days out from your park visit. Alternatively, you can register for DAS upon arrival at a
Guest Relations location in the theme parks.
Should the two members of your party meet the qualifications, the DAS return times will include the Guest using DAS and up to five additional members of their traveling party (six individuals total). Since your party includes nine individuals with two Guests who need to utilize DAS, relay your request to the Cast Member during DAS registration. They likely won’t be able to include all nine people on the same DAS reservation, but they will probably be able to make sure the two groups’ DAS return times align with one another.
You can continue making DAS selections with the help of a Cast Member at Guest Relations locations throughout the day, or you can utilize the Same-Day DAS Return Time Self-Selection Tool in your
Disneyland mobile app (you should see a DAS button when you click on the menu in the bottom right corner). Since you will be able to select your subsequent DAS reservations with this tool, just make sure to choose overlapping return windows when you do.
Vanessa, I hope this information is helpful. If you think of anything else we can help with, please stop by planDisney again. Have a holly jolly vacation!
Merry planning,
Alyssa
