Hi there, Catherine, and welcome to planDisney!
Keys to the Kingdom is the tour for any super Disney fan, so you and your friends are going to enjoy every second of it. Not only is it a 5-hour tour packed with history and fun facts about
Magic Kingdom, but you’ll also get a tasty lunch and a peek into an underground world.
The only thing better than experiencing this iconic tour is sharing it with friends. Hot commodities, like hard-to-get advance dining reservations, can definitely book up quickly. However, I like to simulate availability in order to provide the best solutions possible. I tried booking the Keys to the Kingdom for 6 people for a morning tour two weeks from now and there are still open spots. I upped it to 10 people (the maximum number to book at a time) and the availability is there.
Given that availability discovery and the possibility of same-day reservations, you have a great chance of your friends being able to join you and your husband. My advice is that you purchase all 6 tickets at once when your window opens. My groups have done for
prepaid dining experiences and fireworks cruises and we reimburse each other.
AN EXTRA GEM: There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for Keys to the Kingdom, so if your friends don’t make it on the tour, you can always either cancel your own tour (if you don’t want to go on without them). On the flip side, this means to be on the lookout for other parties’ cancellations, which will open spots for your fellow Mouseketeers!
Catherine, have the best time learning all of the secrets and ins and outs of Magic Kingdom in October. If you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions,
revisit us here at planDisney. See you real soon!
Magic always,
LeAndra
