Hello Katie, and welcome back to planDisney!
Just like you, I also visit the magic of Walt Disney World Resort from across the pond from where I live here in the United Kingdom! Therefore, as the current
UK-based Panelist at planDisney, I'm able to totally relate to your enquiry concerning pre-registration for the Disability Access Service (DAS).
Even though at present, Guests accessing the
UK-based Walt Disney Travel Company website, are unable to pre-register via video chat for the
Disability Access Service (DAS).
I do have some supercalifragilisticexpialidocious news to share with you, Katie! All Guests are more than welcome to register for the Disability Access Service (DAS) upon arrival at Walt Disney World Resort.
I'm so happy to share that upon arrival at your very first Disney Theme Park, it's really super easy to stop by any
Guest Relations location to enquire with Cast Members about registering your 2 Mouseketeers for the Disability Access Service (DAS).
Additionally, you'll be pleased to know that any Disability Access Service (DAS) registration that Cast Members may provide for your family members will be valid for your entire length of stay - which at present is for up to a whole 60-days!
I know from my own dear family's experience, that
Guests living with Disabilities are sure to discover so many thoughtful accommodations and provisions when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. These provisions include the
Disability Access Service (DAS) which is particularly suited to Guests living with cognitive, or hidden disabilities, or for those Guests who find it difficult to navigate the standard queuing system at Walt Disney World Resort.
Katie, I hope I've been able to provide a little pixie-dusted insight for you. If you should have any additional, or follow-up questions for me, then please do drop back to
me here at planDisney.
Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
