We are a party of two coming to Disney World in June but we are checking out on different days .would we need to pay for a full week of dining plan for both guests even if one of the guests has checked out and left?

    Hey Louise-

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited for your trip across the pond to visit the place where dreams come true.

Disney Dining Plans are a great way to have Mickey and the gang cook and clean for you. With the delicious array of foods across the Walt Disney World Resort I know you will love every bite.

Dining plans are only available for guests staying at a Walt Disney World hotel. Meal credits are for every night of the reservation. For example if you have a 5 night stay then you will have meal entitlements for 5 nights. These cannot be reduced or increased for a reservation.

In your case you have two options. Option 1 will be for you to make two separate hotel reservations. One for both of you for the length of stay of the guest departing first and the second reservation for the remaining person. By doing this both parties may attach dining plans for the entire length of their stay. Option 2 is to keep everyone on one reservation and know there are extra dining credits available because a member of the party is leaving early. In this situation you may want to reserve addition table or counter service meals per day to use up the meal credits while saving some credits for the person staying longer.

I hope this helps, Louise. Please let me know if you have further questions.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
