Hi! We are a party of 8 travelling to the WL. We have booked all together and are on the dining plan. Will we be able to split the credits across the three families as we will not always be eating together? Or will we have one pool of credits?

    Hi Nicola!

What fun to share a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with three families! You'll be making magical memories to last a lifetime with your family and friends.

I'm happy to hear you'll be enjoying the convenience of the Disney Dining Plan during your visit. My family loves using the dining plan, and my husband is happy to not have to pull out his wallet after every meal because it's already taken care of! With all that goes into planning a Disney vacation, the dining plan simplifies our days, so we can truly relax and enjoy ourselves.

When your participate in the Disney Dining Plan, you'll be allotted a certain number of Quick Service, Table Service, and Snack entitlements, per person, for each night of your resort stay (depending on which dining plan you choose). The entitlements will be assigned per resort room, and those credits will be grouped together with only those guests staying in that particular room. If the guests in your party are staying in three separate rooms, there would be three sets of dining entitlements. If you're by chance sharing a villa (that holds eight guests), the entitlements would all be pooled together for all eight guests.

No worries, guests sharing a Disney Dining Plan can always split up into smaller parties when dining. When you pay for your meal, you'll simply tap your MagicBand to redeem the entitlements from the plan. The credits will be redeemed person, per meal. You can easily check to see how many entitlements you've used and how many are left by using the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Simply select "Check Dining Plan" in the "My Resort Stay" section to get a quick overview of your dining credits.

I hope this helps answer your question - have a magical day! - Diane W.
