We are a party of 7 traveling to WDW. We bought the dining plan but would still like to stock bottled water, cereal, milk etc. in our room. Is it cheaper to do a delivery grocery service or to travel to a grocery store by taxi?

It depends completely upon what you would order from the grocery delivery service, Julie.  I know you mentioned that you would be stocking up on basics, but your family's idea of basics might be completely different than my family's idea of the same (especially given the fact that I have a rather large family and we eat organic!).  If you want to get a firm estimate of the costs, I would encourage you to visit the website of the grocery delivery service you have in mind.  Play around filling up a cart to get an idea of what your total would be.  Once you have that, compare it to estimated taxi fare (roughly $40 one-way from Epcot area to Wal-Mart) and you should have a fairly accurate idea of which option would be better for your family.  I hope that helps!

Meet the Panelist: Darcie, Alabama

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
