Hey there, Jonathan! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you stopped by to ask such a great Disney vacation planning question.
There is nothing more fun and exciting than traveling to
Walt Disney World Resort with a large group of people. With 18 people in your party, you are sure to have a blast together ... or not together! While there is something for everyone at Walt Disney World Resort, not
everything is for everyone. When I travel with my large extended family, before we even arrive, we set the expectation that not everyone has to stay together all the time. That way, the early birds are free to "rope drop" the theme park openings, the night owls can stay for
fireworks and nighttime entertainment, the thrill-seekers can hit all of the adrenaline-pumping attractions, and the more cautious travelers can enjoy slow-moving attractions and shows.
When it comes to separating your group for things such as
joining a virtual queue, it's actually super easy to do on the
My Disney Experience mobile app!
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure virtual queue opens twice per day - at 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - for Guests with valid
theme park tickets and
EPCOT Park Pass Reservations. Since virtual queues are subject to availability, I recommend logging in to My Disney Experience as early as one before the virtual queue opening, in order to confirm your party. If changes need to be made, click "Change Party" and uncheck the members of your party who do not wish to join. If someone who wishes to join the virtual queue is not showing up in the list of Guests eligible to join, double-check that they are on your "
My Family & Friends List" and that they have valid park admission and an EPCOT Park Pass Reservation. Now, you and your party of 1-18 are ready to go! As soon as it is time for the virtual queue to open, refresh the app and tap "Join Virtual Queue."
Voila!
When traveling with a large group, my suggestion is that the entire party comes together for a
meal at least once per day, in order to catch up and share the magical memories being made together ... and separately.
Jonathan, I am wishing all 18 of you the most magical and memorable vacation! Please stop by any time with more vacation planning questions!
