Hiya, Jay, and thanks for bringing your question to
planDisney!
It sounds like you have a magical adventure ahead at the
Happiest Place on Earth with your group of eight! Multigenerational trips are so much fun, and something my family loves to do as well. I can’t think of any other place that could entertain my whole family, from ages 5 to 75!
Since you’ll have two Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort in
scooters, they will most likely need to obtain a return time at certain attractions that can’t accommodate their scooters. The return time will be comparable to the current standby wait. With
Disability Access Service (DAS), the maximum number of Guests included in a return time is six, including the Guest requiring DAS. However, since you have two Guests requiring the return time, your party of eight may be accommodated. I recommend calling Disability Services at (407) 560-2547, or sending an email to
disability.services@disneyland.com before your trip to determine the best way to accommodate your group. If your seniors have
any additional needs that may qualify them for DAS, you can also
request a live video chat to register for this service ahead of your visit with
DAS Advance.
Last but not least, I also recommend checking out this page on
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities to help your seniors prepare for the visit. Once you’re inside the theme parks, you can also stop by City Hall (in Disneyland Park), Chamber of Commerce (in Disney California Adventure Park), or any Guest Information location to ask for help. Cast Members are always on hand to help as needed!
I hope this information helps, Jay! Please stop back with any additional questions you may have… we’re all EARs!
