Would like to take my party of six to the 50's Cafe for just milkshakes - we eat eat early dinner. I managed to get a reservation but will it frowned upon to just order up the milkshakes and enjoy the dining experience there. 2 Gmas first visits.

    Hi Kelly,

It may be your first time, but you've already figured out where to get some of the best treats! The PB&J milkshake from 50's Prime Time Cafe is a Walt Disney World classic.

You are not under any obligation to order a minimum amount of food or drink at the restaurant, so you are certainly welcome to order dessert only. Be prepared: At 50's Prime Time, the servers may ask you if you've already eaten your vegetables to be sure you've earned dessert. That's all part of the fun.

If you are concerned about feeling uncomfortable about just ordering dessert, please note that you can get the same desserts and milkshakes at the adjacent Tune In Lounge, where you don't need a reservation. It's also a cool vintage-inspired space, but doesn't have the same kitschy interactions with the staff.

I hope that helps with your decision. Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you to be sure your first visit is extra magical. Enjoy!
