I have a party of seven that would like to dine at the sci-fi restaurant. We do not want to sit in a car for 6 but do not know what other options there are or how to request. We definitely want to sit together and be able to carry on a conversation.

    Welcome back, Lisa!

Thanks for asking us another excellent question! While dining at a "cartable" at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is perfect for my family of three, I agree that it can be difficult to have dinner conversations with a larger party. A few years ago we had a similar situation, and when we checked-in, we were given the option to split our party into several cars or be seated at a long table. Although the tables were in the back of the theater restaurant, it was perfect for our group. We had plenty of space for everyone and could take in all the details of the indoor drive-in theater.

You can make your reservation online, using the My Disney Experience mobile app or by calling a Disney Dining Specialist, who can make a note that you would like to sit together. When you check-in at the restaurant's podium be sure to let the Cast Member know of your request again, and if possible, they will make every effort to accommodate you.

I hope this helps, and you enjoy dining at this unique restaurant. Please let us know if you have additional questions as you continue to plan your visit!
