Hi Lisa!
September is a great time to visit Walt Disney World! The kids have gone back to school and the weather is
attempting to cool down.
Dining reservations aren't linked to your Resort hotel reservations, so when you are booking, you can book for your entire group. You will just need to let your server know that you are all on the
Disney Dining Plan, but need to split the bill. Remember, gratuity is not including when redeeming a Table-Service entitlement.
If you're having a hard time getting a reservation for all 9, you can try and look for two smaller reservations. I have had to do this on many occasions. Just know by doing this, you may not sit together at the same table. The restaurants try to accommodate combining reservations and will do their best, but I have had a few occasions where we were at split tables, but near each other. The reservation system won't let you hold two reservations at the same time, so you'll need a second adult in your party to make the second reservation under their name.
Secure what you can now and keep checking back for a full reservation for 9. I often have very good luck in the week prior to my desired date and especially the day before as guests are switching around plans and often cancel last minute. You can cancel your existing reservations up to midnight the day before.
Be Our Guest Restaurant is my favorite for lunch. Even though it's considered a Quick-Service for breakfast and lunch, reservation can still be made and are highly recommended.
Dining reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
