There are 5 in party. Ordered Magic Bands +. Sharing with 1 that needs to make plans for all. How do I link and pair to make sure that 1 is able . Afraid if pair the 4 shows I can manage, she will not have access.

    Hello Anita!

Welcome to planDisney! Your trip is so close, I’m happy to hear you’ve received your MagicBand+ order and you’re ready to pair them. I always make sure my MagicBand+ is fully charged and ready to use as soon as I arrive at Walt Disney World!

Pairing the MagicBand+ to a profile will not make any changes to who can create plans for each Guest. So, you don’t have to worry about losing access to planning after pairing your bands. I’m not sure if you’re managing the other Guests, or if they have their own MyDisney accounts, so let’s talk about how to link their bands. If the Guest has their own MyDisney account and the My Disney Experience app, they can link their band by turning it on and tapping the band to the back of their phone. This will take them to the My Disney Experience app, where they can follow the directions to pair their own band. If you manage them, which means they don’t have MyDisney accounts but you made a My Disney Experience profile that you control plans for, you can link the band to their profile. Visit the “MagicBands and More” section on your My Disney Experience app, find your managed Guest and click “+ Link.” This will walk you through the process of pairing the MagicBand+ and assigning it to the proper Guest.

So now let’s talk about sharing plans with other Guests. My family has young children, and we often spend time in Walt Disney World with other family members, so it is helpful for one person to have the ability to create plans for everyone. Each Guest who has a MyDisney account should add the others to their Family & Friends List. In my opinion, it is easier to do this on the Walt Disney World website. Visit your Family & Friends List and click “+ Add a Guest.” You can search for a Guest with their name and phone number or email associated with their MyDisney account. If you want to give another person permission to create plans for a Guest that you manage, click “Edit Settings” next to that person’s name, and you can allow that person to “view and modify all of your plans” and “allow that person to make plans for the Guests you manage.” The other Guest will receive an email inviting them to share plans with you, which they need to accept to complete this process.

I hope this has helped, Anita! In a few days, you’ll be in Walt Disney World, so now is the perfect time to link and set up your MagicBands. If you have any more questions, please send them our way at planDisney!
