We have a party of 9 and my one adult son has severe anxiety and panic attack seizure disorder. If he has the DAS pass will all of us be able to ride with him. Is genie + recommended?

Hey there, Lorie. Welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us your question. One of the things my husband and I love about our visits to the Disneyland Resort is how inclusive the parks are. We've used the Services for Guests with Disabilities and I am honored to help with your question.

Inclusivity is one of Disney's core values and Disney Parks is committed to ensuring that every Guest feels welcome during their visit. It sounds like you are familiar with Disability Access Service (DAS). I did reach out to a Cast Member who shared that in addition to the Guest that is registered for DAS, up to five additional Guests can be added to their party for this service.

Lorie, I do recommend pre-registering for DAS Advance. Pre-registration is completed via a live video chat and can be done between 2 and 30 days prior to your park visit. It looks like we're just a little too early to do this right now, however, I recommend creating a reminder to do this at some point once your valid window opens. A few things to keep in mind before requesting a live video chat:

    • The live video chat is available between 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Pacific Time
    • The Guest requesting DAS must be present during the video call
    • Log in to your Disney account before making the video call
    • Make sure to link all valid theme park tickets with reservations for each member of your party to be included in DAS plans
Through DAS Advance, you will be able to book up to 2 one-hour return windows for select experiences (subject to availability). Lorie, when chatting with the Cast Member during your video call, it may be worth mentioning the size of your party. There are no guarantees, however, I always say it never hurts to ask.

It's an especially magical year to visit the Disneyland Resort. The Disney100 Celebration is in full swing and I love seeing the parks decked out in platinum and purple decorations. There are a couple of new nighttime spectaculars and I highly recommend checking them out. My favorite was Wondrous Journeys. The sight of Baymax soaring over Sleeping Beauty Castle was just an unforgettable and jaw-dropping moment!

I hope this has been helpful, Lorie. Please come back and visit us with any questions you may have as you continue to plan your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Until then, I wish you a magical day.

    Happy planning!
