Hi, I have a party of nine. We will be buying genie plus for one day. Would we be able to split up and have a party of 4 reserve a ride and a party of 5 reserve a different ride within the same time window?

    Hi Pat,
Thanks for making planDisney part of your trip-planning team. In less than a week you will be immersed in the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Making Disney Genie+ service part of your Disney park day will help ensure shorter wait times by giving your party of nine access to Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions across the four theme parks. Talk about a wish come true!

It is possible for your party of nine to book separate Lightning Lane attractions within the same window, Pat. As part of the Lightning Lane booking process, you will be asked to confirm the members of your party. For everyone to appear as an option, you'll need to make sure everyone has a valid admission and park pass reservation linked in My Disney Experience and that you're connected as Family and Friends. I recommend completing these important steps before your arrival date. When making separate Lightning Lane bookings, keep in mind you won't be able to make this wish come true until you look at the real-time information on your Tip Board in the My Disney Experience mobile app (home screen --> My Day --> Tip Board). The arrival window for one attraction may open in ten minutes while the next available arrival window for another attraction may not open for two hours. If the goal is to experience two separate attractions at the same time, let the Tip Board be your guide. I recommend having two members of your party log on to their My Disney Experience apps side-by-side so you can make the separate bookings at the same time when you find arrival windows that are a close match. You should also decide on the next attraction you'd like to experience altogether and have a designated appointee log on to make that booking as soon as all nine of you have tapped into your separate attractions. Making your next Lightning Lane selection while waiting those few minutes in line to experience your first booking is one of my favorite ways to maximize Genie+'s cosmic powers. If arrival windows aren't lining up the way you want them to, Pat, you may find that standby line wait times, also viewable on your Tip Board, are an alternate solution for your party to experience separate attractions.

You can purchase the Disney Genie+ service via the Tip Board in your My Disney Experience app beginning at 12:00 a.m. on your park day. No need to wake yourself or the Genie too early, but I do recommend purchasing by 6:30 a.m. so you can take your time inputting your preferences and priorities before making your first Lightning Lane selection at 7:00 a.m. on the dot.

I hope Disney Genie+ service makes all of your park day wishes come true, Pat. Please let planDisney know if there's anything else we can do to help.

    Happy carpet riding,
    Jennifer
