Hi Rachael,
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your great question about how to use
Rider Switch at the
Walt Disney World Resort. As a huge fan of Rider Switch, I am happy to share with you all of the details about how this great service works.
If there is someone in your group who is unable or does not want to experience a certain ride, then the
Rider Switch service is just for this circumstance. Your whole group will approach the Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction and indicate that you would like to use Rider Switch. At least one adult will stay with the non-rider while the rest of the group goes on the attraction. If only one adult waited with the non-rider, then when the first group comes back the adult who waited can take an additional person with them onto the attraction. In this circumstance, the adult who waited will not have to ride alone and be able to experience the attraction with someone else. This also means that some lucky person in the first group will get to ride twice!
Rachael, did you know that all 4 theme parks at Walt Disney World have
Baby Care Centers where you can stop for a break and attend to your little ones? When my children were small, I enjoyed being able to take a break to care for them at the Baby Care Centers. There is even a separate area in the main room with a television that the older siblings can enjoy.
I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is filled with Magical Memories! Please come back and visit us again here at
planDisney with all your future vacation planning questions.
See Ya Real Soon,
Brenda
