Party of 6 with meal plan and no magic band how does payment work?

    Howdy George!

Welcome to planDisney. There is nothing like planning a vacation to Walt Disney World. One of the best parts of visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth is all the delicious food and snacks available at the amazing restaurants. There are so many unique dining options that we make it a big part of our vacation to dine at our favorites and always try a new one. As my friend Lumière likes to say, "Be Our Guest," and let me put our planning to the test as we present your answer.

I see you have a family of 6 and the Disney Dining Plan included in your vacation package. You would like to know how payments work since you will not have Magic Bands, and you also wanted to know whether children under 9 need a Magic Band. I found all of your answers to your dining question on the Disney Dining Plan webpage. All you have to do is follow these 3 easy steps:

    1. Choose a Restaurant. Here are the links to participating restaurants in the dining plans. Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and Disney Dining Plan.

    2. Show ID. Simply present your valid Disney Resort ID (MagicBand, MagicMobile Pass, or Key to the World card) to your server or cashier at participating restaurants.

    3. Track it. There are 3 easy ways to track your dining meal credits.
        1. Use the My Disney Experience app
        2. Check your most recent dining receipt

        3. List the Resort Concierge or any Guest Relations location and inquire about your remaining credits.

In your case, either the MobileMagic Pass (in your My Disney Experience app) or a Key to the World card (available at your resort check-in) will be your best alternative to a MagicBand.

To answer your other question, MagicBands are not required for guests of any age. I will say that our family absolutely loves them. They are highly convenient for opening your resort room, entering the parks, purchasing merchandise, and, perhaps best of all, enjoying the magical interactions in the parks. If you change your mind, you can order them before your arrival or pick one up at any of the merchandise shops.

George, I hope that you and your family have a magical vacation and enjoy all of the yummy food and snacks your heart desires. Please stop back by planDisney if you have any further questions or need help with your planning.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
