We have a party of 5. When making dining reservations, would it be better to request a party of 4 and ask for an extra chair when we get there or request a party of 6 even though we are not a party of 6?

Hello Phyllis and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I know the dilemma of the family of five very well as when all of my girls were at home we totaled five also. Your best bet is to simply book all of your reservations for the number of guests that will be dining. The Disney Dining reservation system is super easy to use. Simply select the number of guests, day, and time of your meal and you will be provided with a list of all available table service restaurants. If you only book for four your run the risk of the restaurant being unable to accommodate your group.

Have fun planning and if you have more questions, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel- we love to help!

    See ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother.  One of my favorite things to do is to travel with multi-generational groups. I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
