Party of 8 with 4 kids, ages 5-10. For our HS day, considering dining at RCafe DD. What is the best transportation option between the 2? Should we forget that and just book a dinner at HS? We did Sci-Fi last time, it was good.Like to try different though

    Hi Catherine!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

If you want a break from the park, that can be a great choice.  Downtown Disney has some wonderful dining and shopping venues.  To get from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Downtown Disney, I would take a bus from the Studios to Saratoga Springs and then walk from there to Downtown Disney.  It is an easy walk, especially since the Rainforest Cafe is on the side closest to Saratoga Springs.  Another option would be to hop on the first resort bus you see going to an Epcot area resort (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk), and then changing at the resort to a bus going to Downtown Disney.

If you do want to stay in Disney's Hollywood Studios, my family and I have always enjoyed Mama Melrose.  Another good choice, if you have children that aren't too shy, is the 50's Prime Time; there is a lot of great Cast Member interaction at that restaurant.

Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions!
