Hi there Kimberly!
Thank you for beginning your question here to plan Disney! How exciting to have such a large cast of characters to enjoy
The Happiest Place On Earth with. It’s my pleasure to help you make sure that you all enjoy your magical time together.
Whenever I make reservations with my infant, I usually count him, although he uses a high chair or sits on someone’s lap as we dine. However, if a particular time is more important to me, and I see that modifying my party size is best, then I make a reservation that does not include him, since children under 3 are not paying diners, and simply ask for a high chair when we arrive.
Depending on location and availability, parties of 12+ can make
dining reservations online, but you may want to have another adult in your party try to make a smaller reservation at the same location around the same time. You can either do this on the
Disneyland website or through the
Disneyland Mobile App.
Kimberly, have you decided where you’ll want to dine? Character breakfasts like The Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn are popular, but Goofy’s Kitchen holds a special place in my heart because we spent my very first Mother’s Day there last year. These often book quickly since they
can be made up to 60 days in advance, so it's possible you'll need to break into smaller groups and ask that the cast members try to seat you as close together as possible when you arrive.
Oh, and have you downloaded the Disneyland Mobile app yet, Kimberly? You’ll need it when you arrive, since it is what you’ll use to scan your
theme park tickets. Plus, a more casual option for a party your size to use the
Mobile Ordering system instead. The app saves me valuable hours by allowing me to place mobile orders for meals, snacks, and beverages while I’m enjoying attractions all over the parks! While visiting the resort in last month with a large group of expert Mouseketeers, we found a few large tables in the
Pacific Wharf area in
Disney California Adventure Park and we each used the Mobile Order feature to order whatever we were craving at the various quick-stops there (I personally enjoyed a seasonal soup in a sourdough bread bowl from the Pacific Wharf Café!).
I loved sharing these tips with you and I hope you found them to be helpful too! Please feel free to
come back and ask me any other questions now that you’ve got a friend in me. I love to share ways to keep all of our Hungry Bears comfortable and happy in the parks.
Warmest wishes,
Danielle
