How exciting to be planning a big group trip to Walt Disney World! I've always loved visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth with my friends and family. It's like there's extra pixie dust in the air whenever we're together!
Marge, I love that you're planning a meal at
Garden Grill Restaurant during your stay. When I was a little girl, my very first visits to Disney World were as part of a big group. I have such clear memories of eating at Garden Grill with my family and our friends. We all loved meeting Mickey and his pals as we slowly rotated past
Living with the Land! More recently, I visited with a group of my
planDisney pals, and it was just as much fun as I remembered!
Now, I've planned plenty of Disney World trips for big parties, and I've learned that sometimes, you'll need to split larger groups into two for those
Advance Dining Reservations. Just to be sure, I double-checked and found that the largest group I could make a reservation for at Garden Grill was a party of 10.
Since you have 11 in your group, you'll want to make two separate reservations for right around the same time. Then, try to arrive early for your reservation, and let a Disney Cast Member know that your two parties are actually together. While there are no guarantees that you'll all be able to sit together, Cast Members are always happy to help when they can. They'll do their best to combine your tables or seat you nearby if possible.
As for being in the revolving section, I'm happy to report that the
entire main dining room rotates, so no matter where you sit, you'll get the full-circle experience of dining at Garden Grill!
Of course, I know that sitting together can be a big deal when traveling as a group, so before I let you go, I want to recommend a few Disney World restaurants that can accommodate larger parties. When my whole royal entourage travels together, we love
Biergarten Restaurant at EPCOT,
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and my personal favorite,
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
