Hi Teddy! Welcome to planDisney.
Oh Boy! You and your family are a month away from your magical journey to the
EARidescent 50th Anniversary Celebration! While you visit the theme parks, create a family scavenger hunt looking for the golden
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection statues. They make the perfect selfie background to share with family back home. You have quite a few questions, let's get down to business.
First,
MagicBands are fun, cute, and a personal favorite of mine, but they are not required to gain entry into the theme parks. You can either use a complimentary ticket card or set up a digital
Disney MagicMobile Service Pass on your
eligible smart device. If you do not receive ticket cards ahead of your visit, Hakuna Matata! Stop by any ticket booth located outside of all the theme parks or visit the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. Please have your photo ID, the original form of payment, and proof of purchase with you.
To set up your mobile pass, first, verify your tickets are linked to the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. Open the app, click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner, and select "Tickets and Passes." If your tickets are not there, click on the "+" sign and tap "Link Tickets & Passes." Follow the prompts to add your tickets. A friendly reminder, you need both a valid theme park ticket and
Disney Park Pass Reservation to visit the theme parks. You can review the
availability calendar here to verify your dates. Now, go back and select "Disney MagicMobile" and click on the "+" sign, choose a guest, and again, follow the prompts to create your digital pass. I suggest adding your pass to your Apple Wallet, Apple watch, or digital wallet. Choose "Express Mode" which will eliminate the need to unlock your phone at the gates.
Next, I had a friendly chat with a Cast Member. She informed me, that if you have booked air travel with Walt Disney World Resort, you can expect to have documents mailed to you 30 days in advance. If you did not, all documents will be electronic and can be linked and found through your
My Disney Experience account. If you have any further questions, she advised you can either email
Guest Services at guest.services@disneyworld.com or call 44 (0) 800 169 0730.
A Walt Disney World Resort vacation for newbies can be overwhelming. I suggest you become very familiar with the mobile app. Visit
