Hello I have a party of more than 40 guest are there any special discounts on groups of this many guests or would it be easier to break the party up into 4 groups?

    Hi Dedrekia,

    Welcome back to planDisney!

Let me first say that you should win an award for planning a trip with a group that size. Having planned a group trip to the Walt Disney World Resort a few years ago, I know how challenging the planning process can be even though the trip was phenomenal! Since it sounds like you will need 10 rooms or more, I recommend that you contact Group Sales. Normally, they could be reached by phone, but they are not handling phone calls at this time. You could also email them at groupsales@disneyworld.com.

My experience with the Cast Members in Group Sales was fantastic. They provided a great rate for the rooms and worked with us to get theme park tickets for the group. Since we were traveling for a conference, we had a specific resort request. If you have not already identified a few resort hotel options, I would suggest that you have some in mind to help narrow the search for the Group Sales representative. When planning for any group, I also check the Special Offers online to get some idea of what the rates might be prior to contacting Group Sales.

Even though I suggest that you work with Group Sales to reserve your resort hotel rooms, I also suggest that you consider smaller groups for your daily activities, particularly dining. Assign a group leader to each smaller group. They can then decide their dining and attraction strategies for each day of your visit. Definitely make advanced dining reservations. To do so, each group leader needs to have a My Disney Experience account and needs to have each of their group members linked in their My Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience. On my last large group trip, we did one dinner with the entire group on the first night and then everyone dined with smaller groups during the remainder of the stay.

Dedrekia, Keep an eye on the operational updates and updates to theme park experiences prior to your visit. Consider the matching shirts your group might wear (and make sure everyone actually remembers to pack those shirts!). We are so excited to welcome you all to a world of magic!

    Magic and memories,
