I have a party of four. 2 parents and 2 kids. Since our kids ages are quite large in gap we are thinking of splitting up. If we all purchase the genie+ under my account. Is it possible to have my spouse logged in the same account and book separately?

Hi Lisa! Thank you so much for reaching out to planDisney.

I have found such success with the Disney Genie+ service! It is so convenient and really saves a lot of time. While even the queues at the Walt Disney World Resort are immersive and often interactive, sometimes I'd just rather skip that standby queue and grab a Dole Whip, shop for merchandise, or ride a less-busy attraction while I wait for my next Lightning Lane reservation! I love to strategize. Can you tell?

Many families and travel parties like to split up at various times during their trip. There is something for everybody at the Walt Disney World Resort, but that doesn't mean everybody always wants to do the same thing!

I find the best way to have two adults manage the same reservation is for both of them to have their own My Disney Experience account. This is my personal preference. Once each of you has an account, you can simply connect with him by using the My Family & Friends List and sending your husband an invitation. You'll first click "Add Family and Friends." From there, you'll want to select "Add a Guest." You can then enter his name and age. Afterward, you will have the option of sending him an invitation to connect. You must use the email address that is connected to his My Disney Experience account.

Once connected, you'll select the option to "Share All Plans." Now you'll both be able to make dining reservations, access Disney PhotoPass photos, make Theme Park Reservations, and make and manage reservations for Lightning Lane access. When each of you goes to make a reservation for a Lightning Lane, you'll be asked to select the members of your party who will be riding on a particular ride. You can select the whole group or any other configuration!

If you both decide that it is simply easier for just you to have control over everyone's plans, both you and your husband can be logged in to your My Disney Experience account in the mobile app. Some travel parties find this easier and it is an option.

No matter what you decide, your family will have a wonderful time maximizing your park days with this wonderful service. As a tip, if you do find yourself waiting in a queue, there is always the Play Disney Parks mobile app to help keep everyone entertained!

You've never had a friend like the Genie,
    Matt.
