We are a party of five staying in the first week in Dec. We are travelling from South Africa and wonder what the weather is expected to be like at that time.

    Hi Diana,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am sure you are really excited to be coming from South Africa to this magical place.

You have chosen one of my favorite times of the year to visit Walt Disney World. Traveling in December is full of extra special holiday touches adding more pixie dust to the trip and memories. December is historically pretty mild weather. The average temperatures are highs in the low 70s (Fahrenheit) and lows in the mid 50s (Fahrenheit). As with anytime of year in Florida, you will most likely experience a slight chance of rain. So, be sure to pack some water resistant layers, just in case. Ponchos are available for purchase at many retail shops in the resort hotels and theme parks. Layering is also an ideal plan as it could be warm during the days, but then be a bit chillier in the evenings during the parades and fireworks.

I do hope this is helpful for your packing purposes. Have a memory-filled time. Your trip will be here before you can say "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!"
