With our party of 32 and each family being on their own dining plan, will each family get a check to have the meal deducted from their dining plan credits? Will the 18% gratuity be added to each family's check for the amount of their family only?

    Hi Sherrie,

Wow! A Grand Gathering of 32 at Walt Disney World. Sounds like my kind of party!

When you are all seated, your server(s) will ask if you are on the Disney Dining Plan or if you are paying out of pocket. To make things easier for your server, please don't spread your immediate family out throughout the restaurant / tables. With a party of 32, all on separate checks, it can very quickly become a challenge for restaurants which will ultimately only end up taking away from your park time as they sort out the bill.

For any party size of 6 or more people, regardless of how many separate checks you are on, there will automatically be an 18% gratuity added to the checks. Each family will receive a check with their meals on it. You'll present your Key to the World cards to have your Dining Plan credits deducted for each family/ check. The 18% will be based on the bill for your family only. However, even if your family consists of 3 people, since you are part of a party of 32, you will get charged the 18% automatic gratuity.

I hope this helps. If you need further clarification, please do not hesitate to ask. I love Grand Gatherings!

    Wishing you a wonderful vacation,
