Hey there, Melissa! Welcome back to planDisney and Welcome Home! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with such a great question. I love chatting Disney with a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member!
Before you know it, Melissa, you'll be arriving at
Disney's Old Key West Resort, ready to begin your next magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. How exciting! And since you're planning to have dinner at
Sebastian's Bistro, it sounds as if your vacation planning is off to a fantastic start! My family and I absolutely
love this restaurant, and with its elegant island vibes, great tropical cocktails and fabulous food, it is
such a hidden gem. Now, let's chat about getting you there!
First things first, Melissa! Stop reading and head straight to the
My Disney Experience website or app to search again for availability for your party of five at
Sebastian's Bistro! The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so if you searched for availability on one of these days, it may seem as if there is none. However, I just searched for availability for dinner for a party of five on the week of your vacation and found some late dinnertimes on November 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th, 11th, and 12th. Go snag a reservation!
Okay, are you back? Good! Hopefully, you snagged a reservation for this fantastic dining experience, but if you still weren't able to get one, let's chat about your options. The official
Walt Disney World Resort parking policy for all Day Guests at Disney Resort Hotels, regardless of DVC Membership status, is "Complimentary standard self-parking is available while enjoying select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences at Disney Resort Hotels," and at certain Resorts, a dining reservation is required to park your vehicle in the parking lot. It is possible that if you explain to the Cast Member at the security hut that you will be dining at the Resort, they may allow you to park your vehicle, however, I suggest that you just use the convenient, complimentary Disney transportation or a rideshare service to travel between the two Resorts.
To get from Disney's Old Key West Resort to Sebastian's Bistro at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort using Disney transportation, just take a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios and then hop the Disney Skyliner over to Sebastian's. Now, you got no troubles; life is the bubbles!
Melissa, did you know that you can use the My Disney Experience app to add yourself to Sebastian's Bistro's walk-up list using the
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability feature?! Just check for availability on the app or by scanning the restaurant's QR code, and if there is no availability, add yourself to the walk-up list and get a notification when your table is ready. I highly recommend enjoying a cocktail and appetizer at
Banana Cabana while you wait. This relaxed, tropical, open-air lounge is one of my favorite places to chill, and the Jerk Chicken Wings and Caribbean Pull-Apart Rolls are incredible!
I hope this was helpful, Melissa, and I hope you have the best time on your upcoming vacation! Please stop by any time with any questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
