We are a party of 4 going to Disneyland, but all of our tickets were purchased separately and linked to our own accounts. How do we use Genie+ and all ride together? There's no Family and Friends list like Disney World.

    Hey there, Melinda!

Welcome to planDisney! It looks like the ball has almost started for you and your friends! Even magic takes a little time, but I'll do my best to get you some quick tips that will help you at the parks today. So grab your glass slippers and let's go!

To use Disney Genie+ Service as a group you just need to link your tickets to each other's accounts. It's pretty quick and easy, especially if you are together and everyone is using the Disneyland Mobile App! Just follow these steps:

    • Have everyone open the Disneyland Mobile App
    • Tap the "☰" to open the main menu and tap "Tickets and Passes"
    • This is where you'll see your pass, but at the top right there is a "+" sign you can tap and choose "Link Tickets & Passes"
    • Now tap "Open Camera" and scan the barcode of your friend's ticket on their phone
That's it! You're welcome to link tickets to multiple devices, so you can all scan all the tickets or you can elect one Fairy Godmother to be in charge of the magic for the day and link tickets to just that phone. Either way is just fine!

One of my favorite things to do while we're waiting in line is play with the Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the app! Your Disney Genie+ Service includes digital downloads of any photos taken by Disney PhotoPass Photographers (quick tip: get one card from a photographer and have all your friends scan it so that the pictures go to everyone's phones) but my pal the Genie will also deliver some super fun photo filters to the app for you!

You can access Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the Disneyland Mobile App by heading back to the main menu and tapping the "Disney PhotoPass Lenses" button. Some lenses only work in certain areas of the park, so keep checking the app once in a while to see what you can access in your current location!

Whew! I hope these tips make it to you in time to help you have a magical day at the parks with your friends, Melinda!

    Keep moving forward!
