We have a party of 16 going to Disney in June 2014. We want to be able to get dining reservations all together. Any suggestions on restaurants that accommodate that many?

Hi Tina! Sixteen was the magic number for our family reunions a few years ago until we weren't all able to take vacations at the same time anymore. I was the sole planner and obtained the dining reservations for each day.

I can assure you that all Disney dining establishments can accommodate a large group such as that. They will not guarantee that you will all sit at one table but you will be next to each other in some table configuration. Many guests get quite upset if they don't think they will be at the same table but it really works better if you aren't. We found that if we were all sitting at a table for 16 we really could only talk to the three persons around us and certainly not to anyone at the other end of the large table.  If the restaurant breaks you up where you are sitting at two or three smaller round tables you have a great chance to talk with everyone next to you, across from you, and anywhere at the table.

We actually played at game before each meal. When we checked into the restaurant we would ask what the table configurations were going to be. Then we would get everyone together and draw names for each table. That meant splitting up families and couples but it was so much fun to never know who was going to be your table partner each time. It was an awesome way to really talk to the others whether they were children or adults. Infants were the only ones who stayed with the parent but we even had fun with toddlers changing places.

Good locations for large groups include: Biergarten, Via Napoli, Citricos, Captains Grill, Chef Mickey, Artist Point, but all others CAN accommodate groups!
