My party is on the Disney Dining Plan that comes with a refillable mug. When we eat at a resort where we can use the mug, can we exchange the drink that comes with our QS meal for a dessert or snack, or do we just get two drinks when we eat at resorts?

    Hi Anne!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The Disney Dining Plan is something I enjoy using every time I visit Walt Disney World, and I love the flexibility and convenience it offers across Walt Disney World Resort - at the theme parks, the Disney Resort hotels and select locations at Disney Springs.  For each Quick-Service meal you will receive one entree and one drink, and the use of your refillable resort mug.  What I sometimes do is select a bottle of water as my drink, and save that for taking to the parks. Otherwise, at some locations, you are able to convert 1 Quick-Service credit into 3 Snack credits, so it is worth asking if you are able to do this.  Please know that this conversion is entirely at the discretion of each individual location, but it could work for you as a Snack could be anything from a bag of snacks or a scoop of popcorn to a piece of whole fruit or ice cream or a cup cake.

It is up to each individual Guest how they use their own entitlements, maybe using more on one day and less on another, and all Disney Dining Plans are available to use from time of check-in at your Resort hotel (if you check-in online, your Dining Plan can be used from 7.00am on your arrival day), until midnight on your day of departure.  All Table-Service dining reservations are recommended, and can be made up to 180 days in advance, either online, or by using the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World, and for all the latest news and updates on events happening during your trip, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog.
