    We are a party of 12 (different families) heading to Disney and I need help understanding the App. Can each family link their own credit cards to their App log in even though our reservations are together? Any help with the App is appreciated.

    A party of 12 is a party indeed! You are all going to have so much fun on your upcoming adventure to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
    The My Disney Experience Mobile app can be a little overwhelming at first glance. But you will be a mobile master in no time. Let's start at the beginning with the basics. If you have not yet created a My Disney Experience account, you can do so on the website. Creating an account on the website is a personal preference for me because some initial setup options are easier to find. Pro-tip number one, the website and the app cannot always do the same things. An example of this would be you can only order MagicBands through the website, and you can only place Mobile Food and Beverage orders through the app. I like to think of the website as the trip planner, a place to link tickets, complete my resort hotel check-in, and secure theme park reservations. The mobile app is for details and vacation fun. The app is a great way to check attraction wait times, find characters in the parks, and see what restaurants have walk-up availability. Most travel arrangements can be done through both, including dining reservations and mobile check-in, so website usage would be a personal preference for each person in your travel party.  

    Credit and Debit cards can be linked to individual adults on a reservation. Each individual would need to have their own My Disney Experience account created to add a personal payment method. You will also add a personal PIN to ensure that your financial information is exclusive to you. Here is how to add a payment method. Log in to My Disney Experience, and select My Profile on the website or app. Here you will see a link for "Payment Method". Select this option and follow the steps. You will be able to use a MagicBand or Disney MagicMobile to make purchases once you have completed this step. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel, you can also charge purchases to your room with these methods. 

    Okay, now that we started the payment method process, let's talk about what else the app can do to make your trip more magical with extra convenience. Your My Disney Experience app can unlock your Disney Resort Hotel room, provide an easy theme park entrance without searching for tickets in your bag, help you avoid the line with Merchandise Mobile checkout, and help you plan a unique and memorable day with Disney Genie. 

    I know that we went over a lot, and there is so much more that the My Disney Experience can do for you and your fellow travelers. I encourage you to spend time exploring the app before you start exploring the parks.
