We have a party of 12 cruising out of NYC in July. The children range from 5-16 so we'll get to experience a bit of everything. Are the room keys/keys to the world on a lanyard or should we purchase something to hold them? How are the kids' ages identified?

    Hello Koren,

You are going to have SO MUCH FUN!!!!  I love traveling in a large group, in fact, just yesterday I started planning a cruise for 16!  Your trip already sounds exciting.

The stateroom keys have the same look and feel as a credit card.  You slide them in to your door's locking mechanism and it reads the magnetic strip to unlock your door.  If this is your first Disney cruise, you will not get lanyards.  You can purchase lanyards before you leave for your trip or you can purchase them onboard.

The children's ages are identified when you register for your sailing.  Names and birth dates have to be provided for each Guest, no matter how old, when you book your trip.  That information stays with your reservation.

I hope this helps Koren, please let me know if you need anything else.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Bon voyage!
