Hello, Karen,
As Winnie the Pooh said: "
Oh, bother." I'm sorry to hear you have been experiencing difficulty setting up your
theme park reservations. I too have had that panicky feeling as we struggle to sort out park reservations for an upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation. Although I don't have a magic mirror to grant me access to the details of your tickets and reservations, hopefully, I can offer some advice that will be of use to you.
As you are aware, each Guest of the Disneyland Resort theme parks must have both valid theme park admission and a theme park reservation. A group of Guests visiting together may all be on the same park reservation or they may be on separate reservations. I recommend visiting the Future Plans screen accessed from the ☰ feature menu of the
Disneyland mobile app. There, you can review your upcoming park reservations as well as other upcoming dining and hotel reservations and more. You can also see that same information on the
My Plans page of the Disneyland Resort website. Each daily reservation will indicate how many Guests are included with that reservation. If you see multiple separate reservations for a given date, it may be that you already have the reservations needed for each member of your party but perhaps some reservations were modified or created in such a way that they are not grouped under a single confirmation number.
To dig into the details of park reservations, you can tap on a reservation in the Disneyland mobile app or use the Manage Reservation link from the website. That will open up the
My Theme Park Reservations page. There, you will clearly see each park ticket listed under each of the theme park reservations. If necessary, you may proceed with modifying reservations that appear to be different than your expected plans. Based on
reservation availability, you can modify the date and/or starting theme park for all tickets within a given reservation confirmation. Or you can choose to modify the reservation for only a subset of the tickets included in that reservation.
To help provide some clarity to the situation with just a single ticket, you may wish to
link that ticket to the Disneyland Resort account of another member of your party. With only one ticket linked to that account, you may be able to see more easily the layout of existing reservations and how well they align with the reservations of the other tickets you have. You can also view the Tickets and Passes screen of the mobile app to compare the ticket types and verify that each has the same number of days for the ticket.
Finally, it may be a good idea to seek additional professional support. if you booked your Disneyland Resort vacation with a travel agent, they may be able to work with you and Disney to sort out the discrepancies. If international calling is an option for you, Cast Members with the
Tickets phone line can also assist. Or use the "Chat with Us" feature of the Disneyland mobile app to connect with support. As a last resort, you can speak with a Cast Member at one of the Guest Relations locations after you arrive at the Disneyland Resort.
I'm thinking happy thoughts and wishing on a star that your park reservations issue gets sorted out OK, Karen. And I hope you have a magical time during your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!
