Howdy Steve!
Welcome to planDisney. It’s always great helping guests traveling to T
he Most Magical Place on Earth, and extra special when I get to help a fellow Texan. Let's see if we can mosey along and get your answer taken care of.
I see that your party of 7 will be visiting Walt Disney World shortly, and you would like to know your payment options if you split up. I’ve got great news for you, as you have multiple options, some of which depend on whether you are staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel. If not, I have other options that might work for you as well. Let’s go through them in detail.
1. You can pay by cash or credit card. Please note that you may be required to show ID to complete a purchase. Make sure they have their own card with their name on it and a valid ID.
2. If you are staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel, you can charge food or merchandise purchases to your payment card on file by using your
MagicBand+ or the
Disney MagicMobile Service. To use these, you must ensure the
My Disney Experience app is installed. Next, ensure everyone in your party is on your Family & Friends List. To use either option, each person needs their own PIN, which can be set up at check-in or in the Magic Bands & Card section of the My Disney Experience app. To set up the MagicMobile service, open the app menu, scroll down to Set Up MagicMobile Entry, and follow the instructions to select your pass and add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
3. My favorite way to allow my children to make purchases is to give them Disney Gift Cards. You can purchase Disney Gift Cards at numerous outlets. You can also purchase them in advance on the
Disney Gift Card website. I also use this site to manage my cards.
Steve, I hope one of these options will be helpful to you and your party as you visit the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. Have a magical vacation, and if you have any further questions, please stop back by planDisney.
See ya real soon,
Robert
