We have a party of 5 coming on Dec. 30th and every restaurant we try to book says they have no spots available...yet today was the first day we were able to book on that date. Did the reservations really fill up that fast?

Hi there, Bill! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

I see that your trip to The Happiest Place on Earth is just around the corner! I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulty making advance dining reservations. If there is one thing I love the most about the Disneyland Resort, it's the food! I'd be happy to try to guide you in the right direction today!

Bill, I understand your frustration regarding those elusive dining reservations. You can make advance dining reservations 60 days in advance. Generally, Guests can log on at 6:00 a.m. on that date to begin choosing their dining locations. If you were trying to make reservations at this time and were unable to find any of the restaurants you preferred, it is possible that they were simply booked by other Guests right away. This is a whirlwind of a process! However, that is not the end of the story for you!

If I do a quick search on the Disneyland Mobile App now for December 30, 2022, the date you listed as your arrival date, I do see dining options still available for a party of 5, including Goofy's Kitchen, River Belle Terrace and Storytellers Cafe. Now, it is very likely that by the time you read this, the options will be different, but it is promising to see that there are still reservations to be made during your visit!

If you don't happen to find a reservation that you like, you may consider utilizing the Mobile Dine Walk-Up List during your visit. With this feature of the Disneyland Mobile App, you can search for a particular restaurant and join a Walk-Up List once you're nearby. You'll be given an approximate return time and will receive an alert once your table is ready. The Walk-Up Lists do open and close throughout the day depending on crowds and other factors, so if there is a restaurant high on your priority list, I'd suggest trying to join the list as soon as the restaurant opens for the best chance to be seated.

There are also plenty of Quick Service dining locations that allow you to order your food and eat in a more timely manner, optimizing the time spent on your favorite attractions and with your favorite characters! You can even use the Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering feature on the Disneyland Mobile App to cut down on the time you spend waiting in line and order your meal directly from your phone.

I hope this helps your dining dreams come true, Bill!

    Have a magical day,

    Ashley
