Hey Howdy Hey, Alicia! Welcome to planDisney!
I couldn't be happier to see you here with such a special question. I can't imagine a better way to celebrate a 70th birthday than with an oh-so-magical vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth with a large group of family and friends. How fun and exciting! And since the birthday girl's one wish is to enjoy
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, y'all are in for a real birthday treat. My planDisney pals and I recently had the rootinest tootinest time sipping sangria, chowing down and laughing until our cheeks hurt at Hoop-Dee-Doo, and I'm so excited for you and your mom to make the same lasting memories this summer. Let's get this planning party started!
I just did a hypothetical search for availability at Hoop-Dee-Doo on the My Disney Experience app, and I was able to find available tables for up to 15 guests. However, for whatever reason, a table for 13 was not available at the time of my search. But no worries! I have a few suggestions for you.
Since online dining reservations become available for booking one hour before the Disney World Dining phone lines open up, I recommend trying to book your reservation on the My Disney Experience app at 6:00 a.m. EST sharp on the day your booking window opens.
Since we know that tables for up to 15 guests are available online, I would first try to book a large table on the app or the
Walt Disney World website. If, for some reason, you aren't able to snag one of the large tables, I recommend splitting your party into two tables and making a reservation for anywhere from six to eight guests online. Then, either have another family member or friend in your party grab another reservation for the same show for the rest of your travel party or, once the phone lines open at 7:00 a.m. EST, call 407-WDW-DINE or 407-939-3463 to speak with a Cast Member.
One more booking tip: You can search a range of dates for availability for Hoop-Dee-Doo on the My Disney Experience app, so I recommend searching the dates for your entire trip to increase your chances of making the birthday girl's wish come true!
Okay, one more thing, but shhhh ... this is a surprise. The incredible and hilarious cast of the show usually asks if anyone in the audience is celebrating a birthday, so make sure you're ready to shout it to the rafters!
I hope this was helpful, Alicia, and I'm wishing your mom the most unforgettable birthday celebration in 70 years. Birthday celebrations always remind me of when Woody says, "I can't stop Andy from growing up, but I wouldn't miss it for the world." Enjoy! Please feel free to stop by any time with any planning questions you may have.
You've got a friend in me,
Mandy
