I have a party of 8 I am bringing to WDW. I was unable to get a reservation for 8 at the Chef Mickey breakfast, so I made 2 for 4 people. They are both in my name. I need to take my name off of one and add another member of my party. How can I do this?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Ralph! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's is an "egg"cellent plan! With tasty food, a fun atmosphere, and sightings of the Fab Five, it's one of my family's favorites. And since it's just steps away from the Magic Kingdom Park in Disney's Contemporary Resort, Chef Mickey's is a great way to kick off your Disney day. I think you'll like it a "waffle" lot!

Having to split your party to score that coveted reservation shouldn't be an issue, Ralph. It's quite common for large groups to do exactly that. There's no way to change the name of the primary Guest on a dining reservation online, so you'd need to call Guest Relations to have a Cast Member take care of it for you.

Honestly, though, you don't really have to change the name on the reservation. As long as both parties show up at the restaurant on time, it should be just fine to check both in under your name. In fact, these days Disney prefers that we check in for dining reservations online using the My Disney Experience app on our phones, so you most likely won't even need to visit the host podium! Be sure you have notifications turned on, and you'll receive a prompt to check in about 15 minutes or so before your reservation time. Follow the instructions to complete your check-in process, and you'll be called when your tables are ready. Just like that!

If somehow you don't receive a notification to check in for both reservations, you can walk up to the podium and see a Cast Member to make sure your second party is checked in as well. And then it's time to chow down with Chef Mickey!

I hope your family has an "egg"ceptional breakfast at this super-fun dining spot, Ralph. I'm looking on the "sunny side," as I "toast" to a magical start to your day! All "yolks" aside, thank you so much for coming to see us, and please be sure to stop by again if you have any more questions. We love to help a whole "brunch"!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
