We have 13 in our party. I have bought all the tickets, but do not know if I should link all tickets to my app or should I let each family set up their own app and link their family tickets to each other. What should I do about making park reservations?

    Welcome to planDisney, Sherry!

The more the merrier, I always say. I recently came back from the Disneyland Resort. There were 12 in our party and we had a brilliant time. Planning for such a large group can really feel like going "into the unknown." Therefore, as you move forward, let me suggest some tips for planning a Disneyland vacation for a large party:

    - Nominate an organized person in the group to lead in planning ahead (maybe this is you).
    - Budgets and travel styles should also be considered, with expectations being communicated beforehand.
    - Make sure you plan times to be together as a big group and do your own thing. This was really key for us on our last trip.
    - Let each person choose one must-see attraction.
    - Use the Disney Genie service to help you plan your itinerary. Consider purchasing Disney Genie+ and/or Individual Lightning Lane entrances to cut down your wait times and to enjoy unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads (great for big group pictures!).
    - Make sure you carve out some downtime so that you can relax (this is especially important if you're traveling with young kids).

When it comes to linking tickets, let me tell you what I did, Sherry. I linked everyone's tickets to my Disney account. Since I was the main planner, that enabled me to book everyone's Lightning Lane selections (we all had Disney Genie+). I also made sure each family unit in our party downloaded the Disneyland Mobile App and linked their own tickets. That way, we could make separate Lightning Lane reservations, dining reservations, etc. I also had each family unit responsible for making their own theme park reservations. But you know your group. Maybe it would make more sense for you to just do that for them.

To link the tickets is really simple. Open up your Disneyland Mobile App and then tap the three horizontal lines on the bottom right. Then tap "Tickets and Passes" and then "Link Tickets & Passes." You'll then have two options: you can either scan the barcode of the tickets you want to link, or you can manually enter the ID numbers. Once you do that, the other tickets will be linked to your account. You'll then be able to make Lightning Lane selections for anyone who has Disney Genie+.

I hope that's helpful, Sherry! Have a fantastic time. Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
