    Hi Moms How can my party attend the taping of the Christmas Parade 2013?

    Hi Margie! The taping of the Disney Magic Kingdom Christmas parade is usually done the first weekend of December. Many guests want to come and watch this special event but let me warn you that it is a long and tedious time. Guests who wish to participate must be willing to give hours just standing in the same location on Main Street. This often is not conducive to a family with small children who just want to head into the park and enjoy the attractions. The park is also extremely crowded on this day so the attraction lines can be worse then any other during this weekend.

    In the past tickets for the taping were given to special groups, passholders, cast members and other resort guests who had interest. Last year it was basically opened for only cast members. It has not been announced what groups or persons will have access to these tickets for this years taping. It is a television show they tape so many "retakes" of songs etc. and done throughout the morning and day. The park has generally opened about 8am and if there is room for extras they will allow those guests to join in at the roped off areas. As I said before just be prepared for a long and tedious parade.

    When you check-in please ask the resort concierge for more information that they might have published about park opening time and getting a ticket to be part of the special group.  Have fun and don't forget to enjoy all of the wonderful holiday events going on in the parks and resorts.
