Hi Carolyn!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Thank you for sending in this great question. When you use your
Disney Dining Plan to pay for your meals around Walt Disney World Resort (at the theme parks, the Disney Resort hotels and select locations at Disney Springs), there may be additional items that you add to your meal that are not included with your Disney Dining Plan. This may simply be the gratuity, or an appetizer or extra side order or drink, for example. You may use whatever method you please to pay for any extras that are not included in your Disney Dining Plan, and that includes using
Disney Gift Cards. Alternatively you could use your
MagicBand to pay for any extras as a room charge, and your hotel room charge balance may then be settled at any time during your stay by visiting the Front Desk, by using any payment method you choose - including Disney Gift Card, debit/credit card or cash. You can request a printed balance of your account at any time, and you can also view this on your
My Disney Experience account.
When using the Disney Dining Plan, a Quick-Service Meal includes 1 entree and a beverage (non-alcoholic, or alcoholic for Guests of age 21 and over); a Table-Service Meal includes 1 entree and a beverage (as above) for breakfast, or 1 entree, 1 dessert and a beverage for lunch or dinner.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort, and keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news and updates on any events that may be happening during your stay.
Sue
