I will have a party of 8 at AKL - KV in Sept. A girlfriend and her three children may join us for the last few days. Due to budget, they may stay in the lodge instead of at KL. Could they still use the pool/playground amenities at KL & JH?

    Hello, Shalanna!

You will absolutely fall in love with Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village! The architecture, Cast Members, amenities and savannah are all truly spectacular.

You'll be happy to know, too, that Guests at both Jambo House (which is Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge) as well as Kidani Village share privileges with both resorts. If you've never stayed at either resort, this can be a little confusing, so I'll include a quote from the Jambo House page to help explain:

"The Villas are located on the 5th and 6th floors in the main building—called the Jambo House—of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, which also includes Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village."

In other words, because Guests at both resorts share amenities such as restaurants, shops and transportation, they share pool privileges as well. Your friend's family will be staying in the "regular" rooms at Jambo House (AKL) and you'll be staying a quick bus-ride or 10 minute walk at Kidani Village.

You're sure to have a spectacular time staying at Kidani Village, and will surely enjoy the amenities of both resorts, especially when your friend and her children join you. You may not even be able to get the kids out of Kidani's Uwanja Camp, "an animal observation site-themed water playground." They are sure to have a blast!
