We are a party of 12 (8 adults, 4 children) Only one of the children is over 40 inches. How should we utilize the rider switch? Specifically, how many adults need to ride the first time through and how many adults can stay with the 3 remaining children?

    Hi Samantha!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  It is wonderful to hear you that have such a great group heading to Walt Disney World this winter.  Sharing the magic is always extra fun!

The Rider Switch Service is wonderful when traveling with children who are too little to ride select attractions.  Passes are given so that one adult may wait will the non-riding guest while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction.  Once finished, the party members then switch and the second adult is able to ride without waiting in the regular line again.  Rider Switch Passes are intended to be limited to one pass per party, however, up to two guests are allowed per pass, so you could leave two members of your party with the non-riders to then experience the attraction together.  For a full list of participating attractions and step-by-step instructions on obtaining and using the pass, please visit the Rider Switch Service page of the Walt Disney World website.

I hope I have been able to answer your question, Samantha, but should you need further assistance with this or any other topic, please let me know.

Have a wonderful trip and be sure to say hello to Mickey for me!

    Magical Wishes,
