hi moms, we are party of 5, 2 adults and 3 children age 12, 10 and 2, we will be staying at cabin at fort wilderness resort, do you think it is a good choice for us? we stayed at port orleans once, and we want different experience, thanks

    Hi Arliani,

I think you have made a great choice!  We love the Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort.  There are literally so many activities and entertainment options at the Fort that you almost (I said almost) don't need to leave your resort to visit the theme parks!  Some of our favorite things to do include Chip & Dale's Campfire and the outdoor movie that follows, Mickey's Backyard BBQ and taking a horse drawn carriage ride.  In addition, the Electrical Water Pageant is a delightful "water parade" that can be seen from the beach at the Fort.  The newly refurbished pools look amazing and are a great place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.  The resort's proximity to the Magic Kingdom is a huge perk as well!

The cabins are great for a family that would like a little extra space, and many of the amenities found at home.  Each cabin has a fully-equipped kitchen, with fridge, oven, microwave and automatic dishwasher.  The master bedroom has a double bed and bunk beds, and the living room has an additional murphy-style (it pulls down from the wall) bed.  In addition, there is a dining area and a private deck with a barbecue.  The kitchen is a great way to save money on concessions in the parks.  The resort has a grocery store where you can pick up breakfast and lunch items to prepare in your room.

Staying at the Fort is a wonderful way to experience both the magic of Disney and an upscale trip to the great outdoors!

    Have a great trip!
