Hiya, Jo! I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney.
I’m delighted to hear that you’re already planning a springtime visit to the Disneyland Resort! Even though we’re just heading into the cozy months of fall and the holiday season, I can already imagine that sunshine-filled spring air, the scent of fresh blooms along Main Street, U.S.A., and the joy of your family’s adventure ahead.
When it comes to sharing tickets with older kids, the best approach is for each of them to create their own
MyDisney account. Guests must be at least 13 years old to set one up, so that should work perfectly if your older kids meet that age requirement. Once their accounts are created, they can sign in to the
Disneyland mobile app on their mobile devices and link their tickets from your account.
Here’s how: you’ll first open the Disneyland app on your device and tap the menu (☰) button, then select “My Tickets & Passes.” You’ll see all the tickets you purchased listed there. Have each of your kids open the same section in their app, tap the blue plus (+) sign in the top right corner, choose “Link Tickets & Passes,” and then either scan the ticket barcode using their phone’s camera or tap “Type ID” to manually enter the number. In just a few quick taps, their tickets will be linked and ready to use.
Once linked, both you and your kids will be able to view the tickets in your apps, and if you’ve purchased
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you’ll each be able to make Lightning Lane selections for the
attractions you want to experience together—or separately, if your older adventurers go off exploring on their own.
If your family uses
MagicBand+, that’s another fantastic option. You can link a MagicBand+ to each ticket right in the Disneyland app by tapping the menu (☰) button, selecting “MagicBand+,” and then pressing the blue plus (+) sign to follow the pairing steps. Once connected, your kids can scan into the parks with just a tap of their band—no phone needed. It’s especially handy for younger Guests who may not have their own devices and MyDisney accounts but still want to join in the fun.
With everyone’s tickets linked and ready, you’ll be set for a seamless start to your visit—and all that’s left to do is dream about what you’ll experience first. Maybe a family spin on
Mad Tea Party, or watching
Sleeping Beauty Castle sparkle in the spring sunlight, adorned in all its shimmering glory for the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration. It’s such a special time to visit, with festive décor, commemorative touches, and new experiences honoring seven decades of magic, imagination, and storytelling.
So, Jo, as you plan ahead for your family’s trip, picture that moment when you all step through the gates together—the sounds of
Main Street, U.S.A., the laughter of your kids branching off for their own adventures, and the feeling that your family’s next Disney story is about to unfold.
Wishing you a magical visit!
