Hello Emma,
Welcome to planDisney! I recently returned from a voyage on the
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and answering your question temporarily transported me back aboard the Halcyon.
I reached out to a Cast Member on the
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser team for clarification on the check-in process and they told me that all members of the cabin reservation must be present at the time of check-in. Check-in is from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and in my opinion, the earlier you check-in, the better. If you arrive prior to 1:00 PM, you will be waiting in the
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Terminal until the check-in process begins. We opted to arrive about 30 minutes before 1:00 PM and took the time to chat with some of our fellow travelers and crew members. There was even a Disney PhotoPass Photographer available to take a photo in front of that iconic
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser sign at the terminal.
Once we were checked in, we were shown to our cabin and then free to explore the ship. Lunch will be available in the
Crown of Corellia dining room, and there will be ship tours and datapad tutorials offered by Passenger Services in the Atrium.
If you haven’t already, there are several experiences you can add on to your voyage. Before your visit, the
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Team can help you book dining at the Captain’s Table, an Image Design makeover, or the
CSL Portrait Experience onboard the Halcyon, each for an additional fee. They can also help you make reservations for experiences during your excursion on Batuu, like
Savi’s Workshop,
Droid Depot, or
Oga’s Cantina, also for an additional fee. We were able to book the CSL Portrait Experience and loved every “holoscan” we received. You will need to reach out to a Cast Member at the number listed under “
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser” for assistance in booking these experiences so they can be linked to your
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser reservation.
One final tip before your voyage, Emma. Download the
Play Disney Parks mobile app! Around 30 days before your arrival, your voyage itinerary will be available to view on the app. You’ll start using your datapad as soon as you board the ship, so it’s a good idea to get familiar with it in advance.
I hope you enjoy every moment of your voyage, Emma. No matter what path you end up taking, it is an unforgettable experience. If you have any further questions, you can
visit me again at planDisney.
May the stars light your way,
Kaitlin
